In Mikhail Kabanov's painterly, abstract world, there is no overriding matter and no leading scale of colour. By changing the scale of the canvas he also changes the scale of significance of what is happening.
The protagonists of the visual narrative come to life on the artist's canvases and grow out of a daily and rather prosaic motif: an egg, bread, an apple. Objects familiar to the viewer long ago come into the artist's field of vision and magically take on a special value and magnetism.

Михаил родился в 1966 г. в Новосибирской области. Окончил Новоалтайское художественное училище и мастерскую станковой живописи в МГАХИ им В. И. Сурикова. Получив базовое академическое образование, художник отправился на поиски собственного языка самовыражения. В данный момент он живет во Владимирской области (г. Костерёво) и ведет активную выставочную деятельность.
В фокусе экспозиции — время, способ его чувствования и взаимодействия с ним. В рамках этой темы Михаил исследует возможность фиксации явлений современной эпохи в образных кодах.
Его произведениям свойственны контрасты колорита и фактуры, упрощенная горизонтальная композиция, лаконизм форм, светотеневое кадрирование. В виртуальной экспозиции формальные решения становятся тем самым темпоральным потоком движений, пауз, акцентов и сгущений, воздействие которых мы приглашаем вас ощутить через экраны ПК!
Для удобства просмотра: Экспозиция расположена в двух виртуальных залах.
